Back pain

Back pain, taken seriously.

Back pain is one of the most common reasons people miss work and the things they love. Prevention matters as much as treatment.

We look at how your spine, hips and posture move together, find out what’s behind the pain, and build a plan around it: adjustments, soft-tissue work, decompression or exercises, as suits you.

Everyday ways to protect your back

  • Keep active, and avoid long stretches of sitting or bed rest. Warm up or stretch before exercise.
  • Keep a healthy weight and a healthy diet.
  • Mind your posture; wear comfortable, low-heeled shoes; sleep on a mattress of medium firmness.
  • Lift with your knees, keep the load close to your body, and don’t twist while lifting.
  • Don’t smoke: it reduces blood flow to the tissues of the spine.
  • Ask us about your workspace: a few changes at your desk or in your truck can make a difference.
